More Prophecies & End Time Signs

"There shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, 'Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of... the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished." (2 Pet. 3:3-6)
What's interesting is that Creation Science (Institute for Creation Research, Creation Ministries International and Answers in Genesis...) only started up in the 1960s, as a fundamentalist Christian effort to nullify the scientific evidence for evolution, and more. It has since developed a huge popularity in the United States, with creation science ministries branching worldwide. If you're after the evidence of a global flood, creation ministries have got it all with easy access on their websites! There is a mass of fossil evidence to prove this fact (See here and here), yet it is flatly ignored by most of the scientific world because it was judgment from God on man's wickedness. Creation science has made this prediction possible!
There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. (Luke 21:11)
The Greek word translated fearful from the above verse, is phobetron, which can also be translated terror. Use of the word "terrorism" first began in 1795, with modern terrorism only beginning in the late 18th century. The number of people dying due to terrorism has increased dramatically in the past 15 years, and terrorism is increasing by 25% every year! According to the U.S. State Department, between 1981 and 2009, there were more than 75,000 international terrorist attacks.As well as great signs from heaven prophesied (Luke 21:11, 26). Unexplained sightings in the sky appear to be increasing. For instance, since 1947 UFO testimonies have exploded - terrifying many. Each year thousands of unidentified aerial sightings are reported.
"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places." (Matthew 24:7)
The definition of the word, pestilence, used in the above verse is: a contagious or infectious epidemic disease that is virulent and devastating. Emerging diseases such as AIDS, ebola,
Hanta virus, Dengue, West Nile, SARS, bird flu, etc., as well as
numerous re-emerging infectious diseases underscore this fact.
Ironically, just a few decades ago, some scientists were forecasting
that advances in medicine might soon eradicate deadly diseases. (See also: Revelation 6:8).
Never has there
been such a concerted, global effort to bring about peace at any cost as
there is today. The United Nations General Assembly declared, in 1981, the International Day of Peace, to be devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace. And according to the Global Peace Index, we are apparently living in the most peaceful century in human history!
"Then said the Lord unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the Lord, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut." (Ezekiel 44:2)Ezekiel 44:1-3 tells us that the Eastern Gate would remain closed until the Messiah returns. At Christ's Second Coming, He will enter Jerusalem through the now sealed Eastern Gate. Today, as prophesied, the Eastern Gate remains sealed.
"It shall be the lowliest of kingdoms; it shall never again exalt itself above the nations, for I will diminish them so that they will not rule over the nations anymore." (Ezekiel 29:15)Ezekiel 29:14-16 tells us that Egypt would exist in the last days - but only as a "lowly Kingdom". Egypt was one of the world's greatest ancient civilizations. Yet today, as prophesied, Egypt remains - but only as a third world nation - which will "never again exalt itself above the nations" (v. 15). And while God's Word foretold of the demise of many other ancient people groups and kingdoms (which have long since vanished), Egypt still remains!
"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the wilderness,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it." (Matthew 24:26)Some will say Christ is in the inner rooms in the last days. According to the Catholic Church, Christ is in the inner rooms of hundreds of thousands of Catholic churches either in Eucharistic tabernacles or monstrances.
"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars..." (Luke 21:25)In recent years there has been a massive increase in solar activity recorded. The strongest solar flare measured in modern times happened in 2003, when scientists recorded a blast so powerful that it was off the charts! Back in September there was one week where 7 monster Solar Flares occurred within 7 Days. These solar flares are grabbing our attention, and are increasing in frequency and intensity! Still future paranormal events must yet occur (See also: Revelation 13:13-14; 16:14).
"This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths." (Zechariah 14:12)The physical symptoms that this passage states will be suffered by those who come against Jerusalem at Armageddon are the exact symptoms experienced by victims of nuclear radiation: eyes consumed in their sockets, tongues in their mouths and flesh falling off the bones. The neutron bomb melts (dissolves) its victims just as God warned 2500 years ago. (See: Does Revelation describe a Nuclear War?)
"While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape." (1 Thessalonians 5:3)
"And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base." (Zechariah 5:11)
Zechariah 5:11 and Isaiah 13 tell us that Literal Babylon (formerly called
Babel, Genesis 10:10) will reemerge in the land of Shinar (known today
as Iraq). Saddam Hussein spent over 20 years
rebuilding the city of Babylon. Today, with Saddam's regime overthrown,
the international community is discussing how to rebuild Iraq!
